Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON, observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Verify there are no other DTCs set.
    • Go to next step: If a DTC is not set 
  2. Verify the proper fuel is used. Refer to Fuel System Specifications , and Contaminants-in-Fuel Diagnosis .
  3. Verify there are no aftermarket performance enhancing devices are installed on the vehicle.
  4. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
  5. Verify the DTC does not set.
    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If the DTC does not set 
  6. All OK.
