Installation Procedure

  1. If using NEW spark plugs, do NOT attempt to check the spark plug gap. The plugs come pre-gapped. Ignition System Specifications
  2. If reusing the spark plugs, inspect for wear or damage. Spark Plug Inspection

    Install the spark plug (1) and tighten by hand.

    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

  4. Tighten the spark plug (1) to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
  5. Connect the spark plug wire to the spark plug. Spark Plug Wire Replacement 
  6. Engine Cover - Install - Engine Cover Replacement
  7. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery)
