Preliminary Procedures Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LC8, LV1, L96) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE47716 LC8, LV1, L96) Disconnect the radiator inlet hose from the water pump and reposition. Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LV1) Disconnect the electrical connector.
1	Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor CAUTION: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution . Tighten 20 N.m (15 lb ft)

Disconnect the electrical connector.

Tighten
20 N.m (15 lb ft)
