Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery)
- Engine Coolant Fan Rear Shroud - Remove - Engine Coolant Fan Rear Shroud Replacement (LV1)
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
Disconnect the electrical connector (1).
- Remove the lower camshaft position sensor wiring harness connector bolt (2).
- Lower the vehicle.
Disconnect the electrical connector (1).
- Remove the upper camshaft position sensor wiring harness connector bolt (2).
- Reposition the camshaft position sensor bracket (3).
Remove the camshaft position sensor (1).
- Remove and DISCARD the camshaft position sensor seal (2).
