Installation Procedure

Install a NEW camshaft position sensor seal (2).
Lubricate the seal with clean engine oil. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Install the camshaft position sensor (1).
Position the camshaft position sensor bracket (3).
- Install the upper camshaft position sensor wiring harness connector bolt (2) and hand tighten.
- Connect the electrical connector (1).
- Raise the vehicle.
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Install the lower camshaft position sensor wiring harness connector bolt (2) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
- Connect the electrical connector (1).
- Lower the vehicle.
Tighten the upper camshaft position sensor wiring harness connector bolt (1) to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
- Engine Coolant Fan Rear Shroud - Install - Engine Coolant Fan Rear Shroud Replacement (LV1)
- Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery)
