Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  2. Remove the differential case assembly. Differential Replacement (10.5 Inch Axle) , or Differential Replacement (9.5 Inch Axle) 
  3. GM866503

    Remove and discard the gear bolts. Replace with NEW only.

  4. GM866502
    CAUTION:

    Refer to Ring Gear Removal Caution .

    Using a brass drift and a hammer, remove the ring gear from the differential case.
