Installation Procedure

  1. GM2148679
    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Install the rear axle drain plug (1) and tighten to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).

  2. Fill the rear axle with the proper fluid. Approximate Fluid Capacities , Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers 
  3. GM2148605

    Install the fill plug (1) and tighten to 75 N.m (55 lb ft).

  4. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
