Installation Procedure

  1. Install the J-8107 - 4  remover for the 8.6, J-36597  pilot for the 9.5, J-8107 - 3  remover and the 10.5 on the opposite side of the side bearing being installed.
  2. GM651740

    To install the side bearing for the 8.6 inch axle, use the J-8092  handle and the J-21784  installer.

  3. To install the side bearing for the 9.5 inch axle, use the J - 8092  handle and the J-29710  installer.
  4. To install the side bearing for the 9.76 without G80 or the 10.5 inch axle, use the J-8092  Handle J-24430  installer and the J-45900  dana installer.
  5. To install the side bearing for the 9.76 with G80, use the J-8092  handle DT-46725  installer
  6. Install the differential assembly. Differential Replacement (10.5 Inch Axle) , or Differential Replacement (9.5 Inch Axle)
