Installation Procedure

- Prepare the parking brake bolt and rear parking brake anchor backing plate threaded holes for installation as follows:
- Remove all traces of threadlocker from the threads of the parking brake bolts and the holes of the rear parking brake anchor backing plate.
- Clean the threads of the parking brake bolts and the holes of the rear parking brake anchor backing plate with denatured alcohol, or equivalent, and allow to dry.
- Apply threadlocker to two thirds of the threaded portion of the parking brake bolts. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
Rear Parking Brake Anchor Backing Plate (2) - Install
- Parking Brake Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x]300 N.m (221 lb ft)
Rear Brake Shield (1) - Install - Rear Brake Shield Replacement (JH9)
Rear Parking Brake Shoe (1) - Install [2x] - Parking Brake Shoe Replacement (JH6) , or Parking Brake Shoe Replacement (JH9)
Rear Brake Rotor and Hub Assembly (1) - Install - Rear Axle Hub, Bearing, Cup, and/or Seal Replacement
Parking Brake Rear Cable (2) @ Rear Parking Brake Actuator Lever (1) - Install - Parking Brake Rear Cable Replacement - Left Side , or Parking Brake Rear Cable Replacement - Right Side
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Without Dual Rear Wheels) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With Dual Rear Wheels)
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- Enable the parking brake cable adjuster. Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Enabling
