Installation Procedure

  1. Clean any debris and dust from the parking brake components and the rear parking brake anchor backing plate.
  2. Inspect and replace any worn or damaged rear parking brake hardware or components as necessary.

    Rear Parking Brake Return Spring - Upper (2) - Install

  4. Carefully spread the bottom of the rear parking brake shoes (1) enough to clear the axle shaft.
  5. Install the rear parking brake shoes (1), and upper rear parking brake return spring (2)to the vehicle as an assembly.

    Set the rear parking brake adjuster (1)to the minimum adjustment.

  7. Install the lower rear parking brake return spring (2) and the rear parking brake adjuster (1) to the rear parking brake shoes.

    Rear Parking Brake Shoe Pin (2) - Install [2x]

  9. Rear Parking Brake Shoe Hold Down Spring (1) - Install [2x]
  10. Parking Brake Rear Cable@ Rear Parking Brake Actuator Lever - Disconnect - Parking Brake Rear Cable Replacement - Left Side , or Parking Brake Rear Cable Replacement - Right Side 
  11. Adjust the park brake shoes. Parking Brake Adjustment

    Rear Brake Rotor (1) - Install - Rear Brake Rotor Replacement (JH6) , or Rear Brake Rotor Replacement (JH9)

  13. Install the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Without Dual Rear Wheels) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With Dual Rear Wheels)
  14. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  15. Enable the parking brake cable adjuster. Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Enabling 
  16. Adjust the park brake cable. Parking Brake Adjustment
