Parking Brake Adjustment Verification Check

  1. Enable the parking brake cable adjuster. Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Enabling 
  2. Apply and release the park brake lever 3-5 times.
  3. With all tension relieved from the parking brake cables, rotate the rear brake rotors. Observe the amount of effort required for rotation, and the amount of drag, if present.
  4. If drag is present, repeat the Parking Brake Shoe Clearance Adjustment.
  5. Install the brake caliper and bracket assemblies. Rear Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement (JH9) , or Rear Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement (JH6)
  6. Install the rear tire and wheel assemblies. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Without Dual Rear Wheels) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With Dual Rear Wheels)
  7. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
