Removal Procedure

CAUTION:
Handle the electronic throttle control components carefully. Use cleanliness in order to prevent damage. Do not drop the electronic throttle control components. Do not roughly handle the electronic throttle control components. Do not immerse the electronic throttle control components in cleaning solvents of any type.
CAUTION:
Do not insert any tools into the throttle body bore in order to avoid damage to the throttle valve plate.
NOTE:
An 8-digit part identification number is stamped on the throttle body. Refer to this number when servicing or replacing the unit.
- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery)
- Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct - Remove - Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement
Disconnect the electrical connector (1).
Remove the throttle body bolts (1) and nuts (2).
Remove the throttle body (1).
- Remove and DISCARD the throttle body seal (2).
