Spark Plug Wire Length V8

  1. Inspect the ignition system components. Two different manufacturers are used for the ignition coil brackets, ignition coils, and spark plug wires. Do NOT attempt to mix the components from the different manufacturers. Use the following descriptions to determine which components are made by which manufacturers and order the correct replacement components as necessary.

    • The Melco® ignition coil mounting bracket (square design) (1).
    • The Delphi® ignition coil mounting bracket (round design) (2).

    • The Melco® ignition coil (square design) (1).

    • The Melco® spark plug wire (square design) (1) is 145 mm (6 in) in length from cable seal to cable seal.
    • The Delphi® spark plug wire (round design) (2) is 110 mm (4 in) in length from cable seal to cable seal.
