Installation Procedure

Lubricate the lower fuel injector seals (1) with clean engine oil. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

Position the fuel injection fuel rail (1) and push downwards evenly until the fuel injectors are fully seated and the fuel rails are seated against the intake manifold.

At the left side of the intake manifold, install the fuel injection fuel rail bolts (1) and hand tighten.

CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .

At the right side of the intake manifold, install the intake manifold bolt (1) and the fuel injection fuel rail bolts (2) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

At the left side of the intake manifold, tighten the fuel injection fuel rail bolts (1) to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

Connect the fuel feed pipe (3) to the fuel injection fuel rail. Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
Install the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve (2). Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement
Install the positive crankcase ventilation tube (1). Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement (Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct to Valve Rocker Arm Cover) , or Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement (Intake Manifold to Valve Rocker Arm cover)

Position the engine wiring harness (3) to the intake manifold.
At the left side of the intake manifold, connect the engine wiring harness electrical connectors (2).
At the left side of the intake manifold, install the engine wiring harness bracket nut (1) and tighten to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

At the right side of the intake manifold, connect the engine wiring harness electrical connectors (1).
Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery)
Inspect for leaks using the following procedure:
1. Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF for 2 seconds.
2. Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
3. Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF.
4. Inspect for fuel leaks.
