Removal Procedure

CAUTION:

Refer to Fuel and Evaporative Emission Hose/Pipe Connection Cleaning Caution .

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery)
  2. Engine Cover - Remove - Engine Cover Replacement

    Disconnect the evaporative emission canister purge tube (1). Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 

  4. Disconnect the electrical connector (2).
  5. Disconnect the evaporative emission canister harness (3). Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

    Remove the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid (1) from the fuel injection fuel rail bracket.
