Balancer and Oil Pump Removal

- NOTE:
- Install GM P/N 12628143 balancer shaft gear pin to the balancer shafts before removing the assembly to maintain timing and aid installation.
- If GM P/N 12628143 balancer shaft gear pin is not available, install a 4 - 5 mm dowel rod through the holes in both balancer shafts to maintain timing.
Install GM P/N 12628143 balancer shaft gear pin (1) on the balance shaft assembly.
Remove the balance shaft assembly bolts in sequence shown.
Remove the balance shaft assembly tube bolts (1) and balance shaft assembly (4).
