Balancer Shaft Cleaning and Inspection

Remove the oil pump pipe bolts (1) and the pipe (2).
- Remove and Discard the gasket (3).
Inspect the balance shaft gears (1) for wear or damage. Replace the balance shaft assembly if any damage is found.
- Rotate the balance shaft. Replace the balance shaft assembly if any sticking, binding, or roughness is found.
