Removal Procedure

  1. Oil Pump - Remove - Oil Pump Replacement

    Push down the balance shaft thrust plate torsion spring (1) and install EN-46330  tension pin (2).

    Balance Shaft Driven Gear Bolt (1) - Loosen

  4. Idler Shaft Sprocket Bolt (2) - Loosen

    Balance Shaft Retainer Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  6. Balancer Chain Adjust Guide (2) - Remove

    Remove the balance shaft driven gear bolt (1) and the balance shaft driven sprocket (2).

  8. Remove the balancer shaft chain (3).

    Remove the CMP actuator solenoid valve (1).

  10. NOTE:

    Never pull on the reluctor wheel when attempting to remove the actuator.

  11. Separate the CMP actuator and timing chain (2) from the camshaft.

    Insert a tie strap (1) through the center of the actuator and over the reluctor wheel.

    Remove the crankshaft sprocket (1), and key (2).

    Timing Chain Tensioner Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  15. Timing Chain Tensioner (2) - Remove
