Removal Procedure

- Oil Pump - Remove - Oil Pump Replacement
- Starter - Remove - Starter Replacement (LV1)
- Lock the flex plate using the EN-42386-A Flywheel Holding Tool. Use 1 M10 - 1.5 x 120 mm and 1 M10 - 1.5 x 45 mm bolt for proper tool operation and tighten bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
- Align timing marks before disassembly. Balancer Shaft and Timing Chain Assembly Installation
Push down the balance shaft thrust plate torsion spring (1) and install the EN-46330 Tension Pin (2).
Loosen the balancer shaft bolt (1) and the idler shaft sprocket bolt (2).
Remove the 2 balancer shaft retainer bolts (1).
- Remove the balancer chain guide (2).
Remove the balancer shaft driven sprocket bolt (1) and the balancer shaft driven sprocket (2).
- Remove the balancer shaft chain (3).
