Removal Procedure

Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning .

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  2. Remove the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Without Dual Rear Wheels) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With Dual Rear Wheels)
  3. Clean all dirt and foreign material from the brake hose ends and the brake pipe fitting.

    NOTE:

    Use a backup wrench at the front brake hose when loosening the front brake pipe fitting.

    Front Brake Pipe Fitting(1) @ Front Brake Hose(2) - Remove

    Front Brake Pipe Clip(1) @ Front Brake Hose(2) - Remove

  6. Cap the brake pipe fitting and the brake hose end to prevent fluid loss and contamination.

    Front Brake Hose Fitting Bolt (2) @ Front Brake Hose(1) - Remove

  8. Front Brake Hose Fitting Gasket (3) - Remove and DISCARD[2x]
  9. Cap the brake caliper inlet port to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

    Front Wheel Speed Sensor(1) @ Front Brake Hose(3) - Unclip

  11. Front Brake Hose Bolt(2) @ Front Brake Hose(3) - Remove[2x]
  12. Front Brake Hose(3) - Remove
