Removal Procedure

Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning .

  1. Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace- Left Side - Remove - Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement - Left Side
  2. Place a clean shop cloth beneath the brake master cylinder to catch brake fluid spills.
  3. Using a suitable tool, remove and properly dispose of the brake fluid from the brake master cylinder reservoir.
  4. Electrical Connector @ Brake Fluid Level Indicator Switch - Disconnect
  5. Wiring Harness @ Brake Master Cylinder - Disconnect and reposition harness as necessary.

    Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Pipe Nut - Front(1) - Disconnect

  7. Cap the brake pipe fitting and plug the brake master cylinder outlet port to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
  8. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Pipe Nut - Rear(2) - Disconnect
  9. Cap the brake pipe fitting and plug the brake master cylinder outlet port to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

    Brake Master Cylinder Nut(1) - Remove[2x]

  11. Brake Master Cylinder(2) - Remove
