Airbag Roof Side Rail Module Replacement - Rear

Preliminary Procedure WARNING: In order to prevent SIR deployment, personal injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs, do not strike the door or the door pillar in the area of the side impact sensor (SIS). Turn OFF the ignition and remove the key when performing service in the area of the SIS. WARNING: Refer to SIR Warning . WARNING: Refer to SIR Inflator Module Handling and Storage Warning . Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling . Remove the rear headliner assembly. Refer to Headlining Rear Trim Panel Replacement .
1	Rear Roof Side Rail Inflatable Restraint Module Assembly CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure Disconnect the electrical connector. Loosen the roof side rail inflatable restraint module bolts. (Qty: 6) Remove the push in retainers (Qty: 8) securing the roof side rail inflatable restraint module to the vehicle. Remove the roof side rail inflatable restraint module from the vehicle. TIP: The bolts and the push in fasteners are an integral part of the module and should remain with the module. Tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)

Rear Roof Side Rail Inflatable Restraint Module Assembly

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure

Disconnect the electrical connector.
Loosen the roof side rail inflatable restraint module bolts. (Qty: 6)
Remove the push in retainers (Qty: 8) securing the roof side rail inflatable restraint module to the vehicle.
Remove the roof side rail inflatable restraint module from the vehicle.

TIP: The bolts and the push in fasteners are an integral part of the module and should remain with the module.
Tighten
9 N.m (80 lb in)
