Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LC8, LV1, L96) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE47716 LC8, LV1, L96) 
  2. Engine Coolant Fan Lower Shroud - Remove - Engine Coolant Fan Lower Shroud Replacement (LWN) , or Engine Coolant Fan Lower Shroud Replacement (LV1) , or Engine Coolant Fan Lower Shroud Replacement (L96, LC8) 
  3. Generator - Remove - Generator Replacement (LWN) , or Generator Replacement (L96, LC8) , or Generator Replacement (LV1 with K68) , or Generator Replacement (LV1 with KW5/KG4)
  4. Drive Belt Idler Pulley - Remove - Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement
  5. Drive Belt Tensioner - Remove - Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement - Accessory
  6. Power Steering Pump Pulley - Remove - Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement (Without LWN) , or Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement (With LWN)
  7. Air Conditioning Compressor Bracket - Remove - Air Conditioning Compressor Bracket Replacement (LWN) , or Air Conditioning Compressor Bracket Replacement (L96, LC8) , or Air Conditioning Compressor Bracket Replacement (LV1)

    Radiator Vent Outlet Hose Clamp(1) - Disengage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type 

  9. Radiator Vent Outlet Hose Clip(2) @ Engine Cooling Fan Bracket - Separate
  10. Radiator Vent Outlet Hose(3) - Remove

    Radiator Inlet Hose Clamp(1) - Disengage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type 

  12. Radiator Inlet Hose(2) - Remove

    Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Electrical Connector(1) - Disconnect

    Engine Cooling Fan Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove[2x]

    Heater Outlet Hose Clamp(1) - Disengage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type 

  17. Heater Outlet Hose(2) - Remove
  18. Heater Inlet Hose Clamp(3) - Disengage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type 
  19. Heater Inlet Hose(4) - Remove

    Radiator Outlet Hose Clamp(1) - Disengage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type 

  21. Radiator Outlet Hose(2) - Remove

    Water Pump Bolt(1) - Remove[6x]

    Water Pump(1) - Remove

  24. Water Pump Gasket(2) - Remove and DISCARD[2x]
  25. Transfer components as necessary.
