Installation Procedure

WARNING:

Do not use or attempt to repair a damaged cooling fan assembly. Replace damaged fans with new assemblies. An unbalanced cooling fan could fly apart causing personal injury and property damage.

NOTE:
Fan blade clutch and water pump pulley threads must be wiped with a clean cloth before reassembly.

Fan Blade(2) - Install

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Fan Blade Bolt(1) - Install and tighten[4x]9 N.m (80 lb in)

Install the fan blade and fan blade clutch as an assembly (1) to the water pump pulley.

Install J-46406-1 Fan Clutch Holding Wrench (2) into the fan and water pump pulley.
Install EN-41240-2 Fan Clutch Wrench (1) with the long breaker bar (3) onto the fan blade clutch.
Turn the fan blade clutch clockwise and tighten to 100 N.m (74 lb ft)
Remove EN-41240-2 Fan Clutch Wrench (1) and long breaker bar (3) from the fan blade clutch.
Remove J-46406-1 Fan Clutch Holding Wrench (2) from the fan and water pump pulley.
