Removal Procedure

- Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LC8, LV1, L96) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE47716 LC8, LV1, L96)
- Drain the engine oil. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement
Engine Oil Cooler Hose(1) @ Engine Oil Cooler Connector - Disconnect - Engine Oil Cooler Pipe/Hose Quick Connect Fitting Replacement
- Engine Oil Cooler Hose(2) @ - Engine Oil Cooler Connector Disconnect - Engine Oil Cooler Pipe/Hose Quick Connect Fitting Replacement
Engine Oil Cooler Hose Clip (1) - Remove
Remove the engine wiring harness from the engine oil cooler hose bracket bolt (1).
- Engine Oil Cooler Hose Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove
- {If equipped} Disconnect the engine coolant heater cord from the engine coolant heater.
Engine Oil Cooler Hose Bolt(1) - Remove[2x]
Engine Oil Cooler Hose(1) - Remove
- Oil Pan Cover Gasket(2) - Remove and DISCARD
