Removal Procedure

NOTE:

The thermostat is not serviceable separately. The water pump inlet and thermostat must be replaced as an assembly.

  1. Remove the bolt from the coolant recovery reservoir and reposition.

    Remove air cleaner assembly.

  3. Remove the radiator outlet hose. Refer to Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LWN) , or Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LV1) , or Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (L96, LC8) .
  4. Remove the water pump inlet bolts.
  5. Remove the water pump inlet and thermostat from the water pump.
