Component Testing

  1. Ignition OFF.
  2. Disconnect the harness connector from the Q85 Cooling Fan Clutch.
  3. Connect the EL 36169 - HD  between the Q85 Cooling Fan Clutch terminal B and B+. Connect a jumper wire between the Q85 Cooling Fan Clutch terminal A and ground.
  4. Verify the Q85 Cooling Fan Clutch operates.
    • The cooling fan does not operate 

      Replace the Q85 Cooling Fan Clutch.

    • Go to next step: The cooling fan operates 
  5. All OK.
