Installation Procedure

  1. Position the assist rods to the cargo door.

    Install the upper end of the assist rods to the ball stud. Press in to place until fully seated.

    Install ball stud bracket.

    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install ball stud bolts and tighten to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

    Install the lower end of the assist rods to the ball stud. Press in to place until fully seated.

  6. Remove the support from the cargo door.
  7. Close the cargo door.
