Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery)
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
Battery Positive Cable Nut(2) - Remove
- Battery Positive Cable(1) - Remove
Electrical Connector(2) - Disconnect
- Starter Bolt(1) - Remove[2x]
- Starter(3) - Remove
{ If equipped }Transmission Cover Bolt(1) - Remove
- Remove the starter (3) and the transmission cover (2), from the engine.
If necessary, remove the starter heat shield (2) from the starter solenoid (1).
