Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery)

    Coolant Recovery Reservoir(1) - Reposition - Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement (LV1)Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement (L96, LC8)

    Air Cleaner Assembly(4) - Remove - Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement

    Battery Positive Cable Fastener(1) - Loosen

  5. Battery Positive Cable Retainer(3) - Disengage[3x]
  6. Battery Positive Cable(2) - Reposition away

    Battery Positive Cable Retainer(1) - Disengage[4x]

    Accessory Wiring Junction Block Cover(1) - Remove

  9. Battery Positive Cable Nut(2) - Remove
  10. Battery Positive Cable(3) - Remove
  11. Remove the engine cover. Engine Cover Replacement

    Battery Positive Cable Nut(1) - Remove

  13. Battery Positive Cable(2) - Remove

    Battery Positive Cable Retainer Bolt (2) - Remove

  15. Battery Positive Cable Retainer(1) - Disengage
  16. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

    Battery Positive Cable Nut(1)@Starter Solenoid(3) - Remove

  18. Battery Positive Cable(2) - Remove
  19. Lower the vehicle.
  20. Remove the battery positive cable from the vehicle.
