Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. Verify DTC P0106, P0107, P0108, P2227, P2228, P2229, P2230 is not set.
    • Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set 
  3. Verify the scan tool parameter: Throttle Body Idle Air Flow Compensation = Less than 90%
    • Go to next step: If less than 90% 
  4. Verify the following conditions do not exist:
    • Loose clamps, cracks, or other damages to the intake system.
    • Clogged air cleaner.
    • Clogged catalyst.
    • Vacuum hoses with kinks, leaks, or improper connections.
    • Leaking or restricted positive crankcase ventilation.
    • Leaks at the intake manifold or throttle body.
    • Leaking, missing, or damaged O-ring on the components listed below:
      • B17 Barometric Pressure Sensor
      • B74 Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor
    • If a condition exists 

      Repair or replace as necessary.

    • Go to next step: If no condition exists 
  5. Verify the scan tool parameter:
    • If not in the specified range 
    • Go to next step: If in the specified range 
  6. All OK.
