Conditions for Updating the I/M System Status

NOTE: New vehicles may not report the I/M System Status as Complete for certain post catalyst oxygen sensor or heated oxygen sensor 2 monitors prior to 1127 km (700 mi).

A system monitor is Complete when either all the DTCs comprising the monitor have run and passed, or when any one of the DTCs comprising the monitor has illuminated the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL).
