Circuit/System Testing

- Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K130 Fuel Pump Disable Control Module.
- Disconnect the X189 jumper harness male and female connectors from the components listed below.
- B75B MAF/IAT sensor
- Engine harness connector
- Test for infinite resistance between the K130 Fuel Pump Disable Control Module signal circuits listed below and ground.
- Terminal 6
- Terminal 16
- If less than infinite resistance
- Repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- Connect the male and female X189 jumper harness connectors together.
- Test for less than 2 Ω, in the K130 Fuel Pump Disable Control Module IAT signal circuits, between the terminals listed below.
- Terminal 6
- Terminal 16
- If 2 Ω or greater
Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- Go to next step: If less than 2 Ω
- Ignition ON.
- Test for less than 1 V between the K130 Fuel Pump Disable Control Module signal circuits listed below and ground.
- Terminal 6
- Terminal 16
- If 1 V or greater
Repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If less than 1 V
- Test for less than 1 V between the control circuit terminal 10 and ground.
- If 1 V or greater
- Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF, disconnect the FICM harness connector, ignition ON.
- Test for less than 1 V between the control circuit terminal 10 and ground.
- If 1 V or greater
Repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
- If less than 1 V
Replace the FICM.
- If 1 V or greater
- Go to next step: If less than 1 V
- Ignition ON.
- Test for less than 2 Ω, end to end in the K130 Fuel Pump Disable Control Module control circuit terminal 10.
- If 2 Ω or greater
Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- Go to next step: If less than 2 Ω
- If 2 Ω or greater
- Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF.
- Test for infinite resistance between the K130 Fuel Pump Disable Control Module control circuit terminal 10 and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance
Repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- If less than infinite resistance
- Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF.
- Replace the K130 Fuel Pump Disable Control Module.
- Connect any harness or component disconnected during testing.
- Engine idling for at least 2 minutes after the ECT scan tool parameter is at least 65°C (149°F).
- Verify the vehicle is operating in CNG mode.
- If not in CNG mode
Replace the FICM.
- Go to next step: If CNG Mode is enabled
- If not in CNG mode
- All OK.

You must perform the Circuit/System Verification before proceeding with the Circuit/System Testing.
