Preliminary Procedures

  1. Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LC8, LV1, L96) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE47716 LC8, LV1, L96) 
  2. Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LV1) 
  3. Front Wheelhouse Splash Shield-Right Side - Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement (Right Side)
1 Water Pump Inlet Bolt [2x]
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Procedure 
Tighten 
15 N.m (11 lb ft)
2 Water Pump Inlet
3 Water Pump Inlet Seal
Procedure 
Water Pump Inlet Seal - Remove and DISCARD
