Installation Procedure
- NOTE:
The power brake booster gasket can be reused, if not damaged.
Power Brake Booster Gasket (2) - Install
- Power Brake Booster (1) - Install
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Power Brake Booster Nut (1) - Install and tighten [4x] 36 N.m (27 lb ft)
- Lubricant @ Brake Pedal Pivot Pin - Apply - Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
Brake Pedal Push Rod (3) - Connect
- Brake Pedal Push Rod Retainer (2) - Install
- Brake Pedal Push Rod Retainer Bolt (1) - Install and tighten10 N.m (89 lb in)
Brake Pedal Position Sensor (1) - Install - Brake Pedal Position Sensor Replacement
Brake Master Cylinder (1) - Install Brake Master Cylinder Replacement
Power Brake Booster Outlet Hose- Booster to Reservoir (2) @ Power Brake Booster - Install - Power Brake Booster Outlet Hose Replacement (With LWN, Booster to Reservoir) , or Power Brake Booster Outlet Hose Replacement (With LWN, Booster to Gear) , or Power Brake Booster Outlet Hose Replacement (Without LWN, Booster to Reservoir) , or Power Brake Booster Outlet Hose Replacement (Without LWN, Booster to Gear)
Power Brake Booster Outlet Hose- Booster to Gear (2) @ Power Brake Booster - Install - Power Brake Booster Outlet Hose Replacement (With LWN, Booster to Reservoir) , or Power Brake Booster Outlet Hose Replacement (With LWN, Booster to Gear) , or Power Brake Booster Outlet Hose Replacement (Without LWN, Booster to Reservoir) , or Power Brake Booster Outlet Hose Replacement (Without LWN, Booster to Gear)
Power Brake Booster Inlet Hose (2) @ Power Brake Booster - Install - Power Brake Booster Inlet Hose Replacement (With LWN) , or Power Brake Booster Inlet Hose Replacement (Without LWN)
- Bleed the power steering system. Power Steering System Bleeding
- Calibrate the brake pedal position sensor. Brake Pedal Position Sensor Calibration
Ensure that the brake pedal push rod retainer is fully engaged in the groove of the brake pedal pivot pin.
