Installation Procedure
Position the rear brake shield (2) and rear parking brake anchor backing plate (1) together.
- Parking Brake Bolt (3) @ Parking Brake Anchor Backing Plate - Install [4x]
Rear Parking Brake Anchor Backing Plate (1) - Install
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Parking Brake Support Nut- Front (1) - Install and tighten [2x] 185 N.m (137 lb ft)
Parking Brake Support Nut- Rear (1) - Install and tighten [2x] 185 N.m (137 lb ft)
Parking Brake Shoe (1) - Install [2x] - Parking Brake Shoe Replacement (JH6) , or Parking Brake Shoe Replacement (JH9)
- Rear Axle Shaft - Install - Rear Axle Shaft Replacement
Rear Brake Rotor (1) - Install - Rear Brake Rotor Replacement (JH6) , or Rear Brake Rotor Replacement (JH9)
Parking Brake Rear Cable (2) @ Rear Parking Brake Actuator Lever (1) - Install - Parking Brake Rear Cable Replacement - Left Side , or Parking Brake Rear Cable Replacement - Right Side
- Parking Brake Rear Cable (2) @ Rear Parking Brake Anchor Backing Plate (4) - Install
- Parking Brake Shoe - Adjust Parking Brake Adjustment
- Install the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Without Dual Rear Wheels) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With Dual Rear Wheels)
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- Enable the parking brake cable automatic adjuster. Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Enabling
