Installation Procedure

  1. Prepare the brake caliper guide pin bolts and the bracket threaded holes for assembly:
    • Remove all traces of the adhesive patch from the bolt and the mating threads using the appropriate tools.
    • Thoroughly clean the residue from the bolt threads by using denatured alcohol or equivalent and allow to dry.
    • Apply threadlocker to 2/3 of the threaded length of the bolts. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

    Brake Caliper Guide Pin Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] 107.5 N.m (79 lb ft)

  3. Install the front tire and wheel assemblies. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Without Dual Rear Wheels) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With Dual Rear Wheels)
  4. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  5. With the engine OFF, gradually apply the brake pedal to approximately 2/3 of its travel distance.
  6. Slowly release the brake pedal.
  7. Wait 15 seconds, then repeat steps 5 and 6 until a firm brake pedal is obtained. This will properly seat the brake caliper pistons and brake pads.
