Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  2. Remove the front tire and wheel assemblies. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Without Dual Rear Wheels) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With Dual Rear Wheels)

    NOTE:

    DO NOT use any air tools to remove or install the guide pin bolts. Use hand tools ONLY.

    Brake Caliper Guide Pin Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

    CAUTION:

    Support the brake caliper with heavy mechanic wire, or equivalent, whenever it is separated from its mount and the hydraulic flexible brake hose is still connected. Failure to support the caliper in this manner will cause the flexible brake hose to bear the weight of the caliper, which may cause damage to the brake hose and in turn may cause a brake fluid leak.

    NOTE:

    Do NOT disconnect the hydraulic brake flexible hose from the caliper.

    Front Brake Caliper (1) - Remove

  5. Support the brake caliper with heavy mechanics wire.

    Front Disc Brake Pad (1) - Remove [2x]

    Front Disc Brake Pad Retaining Spring (1) - Remove [2x]

    Front Brake Caliper Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

    Front Brake Caliper Bracket (1) - Remove

  10. Transfer components as necessary.
