Removal Procedure

  1. Prepare the brake system control module for removal with Service Programming System (SPS) and follow the on-screen instructions.

    Front Compartment Rear Access Cover (2) - Remove - Front Compartment Rear Access Cover Replacement

    Battery Tray (1) - Remove - Battery Tray Replacement

  4. Electrical Connector @ Brake Fluid Level Sensor - Disconnect
  5. Electrical Connector @ Brake System Control Module - Disconnect

    NOTE:

    Label the brake pipes to ensure they are re-installed in the correct ports of the brake pressure modulator valve.

    Front and Rear Brake Front Pipe Nut (1) - Remove [4x]

  7. Cap the front and rear brake front pipes to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
  8. Plug the brake pressure modulator valve inlet ports to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

    Front Brake Pipe Fitting Bolt (1) - Remove

  10. Front Brake Pipe Bracket (2) - Reposition

    Electronic Brake Control Module Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]

  12. CAUTION:

    When removing the Brake System Control Module (BSCM) from the Master Cylinder Assembly, ensure the valve coils in the (BSCM) clear the pins in the Master Cylinder Assembly. If the coils or pins are damaged the complete Master Cylinder Assembly will require replacement.

  13. Brake System Control Module (2) - Remove
