Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the connector at the S86 Vehicle Stability Control System Switch.
- Verify a test lamp illuminates between terminal 6 and B+
- If the test lamp does not illuminate
Repair the open/high resistance on circuit 1450 or the ground connection.
- Go to next step: If the test lamp illuminates
- If the test lamp does not illuminate
- Ignition ON.
- Test for more than 5 V between terminal 3 and ground
- If less than 5 V
- Test circuit 1428 for a short to ground.
- If a short to ground is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If a short to ground is not found
- Test circuit 1428 for an open/high resistance.
- If an open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If an open/high resistance is not found
- Test or replace the S86 Vehicle Stability Control System Switch.
- Verify the DTC does not set
- If the DTC sets
Replace the K9 Body Control Module
- Go to next step: If the DTC does not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
- Go to next step: If more than 5 V
- Test or replace the S86 Vehicle Stability Control System Switch.
