2	Torque Converter Procedure Rotate the transmission so that the converter housing is facing upwards. NOTE: If the holding strap does not fit as shown, then the converter is not fully installed. After installing the torque converter, install the holding strap. After transmission has been removed from the holding fixture, install the Transmission Housing Sound Insulator.
