Fuel Rail Installation

NOTE:
If the fuel rail was removed from the cylinder head, the fuel injector tip seals must be replaced. Fuel Rail and Injectors Cleaning and Inspection

Install the fuel rail with injectors (2) into the cylinder head evenly.
Install and hand tighten the three fuel rail bolts (1) to seat the injectors in the injector bores.

Tighten the fuel injection fuel rail bolts in the sequence shown to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

WARNING:
The noise cancelling foam component MUST be replaced if it has been exposed to engine fluids. Failure to replace the noise cancelling foam component that has been exposed to engine fluids may result in an engine fire resulting in catastrophic engine damage, and possible injury or death.

Install fuel injection fuel rail noise shield (1).
