Sealant Procedure
- Ensure proper use of room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) sealant. Use of Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) and Anaerobic Sealant
- Place a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of RTV sealant to the NEW crankshaft rear oil seal housing as shown (1). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
NOTE:
DO NOT allow any engine oil on the area where the crankshaft rear oil seal housing is to be installed.

Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube Seal Procedure
- First Design applications will have the positive crankcase ventilation tube seal.
- Second Design applications will have a raised surface area for sealant to be applied and no seal.
- Place a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of RTV sealant to the NEW crankshaft rear oil seal housing as shown (2). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
