Removal Procedure

  1. Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (Coupe - LGX, LTG) - Remove
  2. Lower Oil Pan Replacement - Remove

    Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Harness (1) @ Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve (2) - Disconnect

  4. NOTE:

    Mechanics wire is used to guide the harness into place during installation, and must be of sufficient length to pass through the engine front cover from inside the oil pan.

  5. Securely attach mechanics wire to the end of the oil pump flow control solenoid valve harness (1).
  6. Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Harness (1) @ Retainer (3) - Unclip
  7. Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Harness (1) @ Crankshaft Oil Deflector (4) - Unclip

    Engine Wiring Harness (1) - Disconnect

  9. Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Harness Bolt (2) - Remove
  10. NOTE:

    Ensure the mechanics wire stays attached to the end of the harness during removal, and remains in place within the engine after harness removal. It will be used to guide the harness into place during installation.

    NOTE:

    The retaining clips attached to the oil pump flow control solenoid harness are used for initial production only and should be removed and discarded.

  11. Remove the oil pump flow control solenoid valve harness (3) through the engine front cover.
