Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Ignition/Vehicle - Off
- Disconnect the appropriate electrical connector: X160 X161
- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify the scan tool parameter:
X160
- Cylinder 1 Injector Control Circuit Status = OK
- Cylinder 3 Injector Control Circuit Status = OK
- Cylinder 5 Injector Control Circuit Status = OK
X161
- Cylinder 2 Injector Control Circuit Status = OK
- Cylinder 4 Injector Control Circuit Status = OK
- Cylinder 6 Injector Control Circuit Status = OK
- If not the specified state
- Ignition/Vehicle - Off
- Disconnect the electrical connector: X3@K20 Engine Control Module
- Test for infinite resistance between the test points:
- {Q17A Fuel Injector 1} Terminal 69 & Terminal 49@Control module harness
- {Q17B Fuel Injector 2} Terminal 68 & Terminal 48@Control module harness
- {Q17C Fuel Injector 3} Terminal 72 & Terminal 52@Control module harness
- {Q17D Fuel Injector 4} Terminal 70 & Terminal 50@Control module harness
- {Q17E Fuel Injector 5} Terminal 67 & Terminal 47@Control module harness
- {Q17F Fuel Injector 6} Terminal 71 & Terminal 51@Control module harness
- If less than infinite resistance - Repair the short between the circuits.
- If infinite resistance - Replace the component: K20 Engine Control Module
- Go to next step: If the specified state
- Ignition/Vehicle - Off
- Disconnect the appropriate electrical connector: Q17 Fuel Injector
- Test for infinite resistance between the test points: Q17 Fuel InjectorTerminal 1 & Terminal 2@Component harness
- If less than infinite resistance
Repair the short between the circuits: High Control & Low Control
- If infinite resistance
Test or replace the component: Q17 Fuel Injector
- If less than infinite resistance
