    Output Shaft (1) - Measure

  2. NOTE:

    There are a number of various output shaft lengths and extension housing configurations, which may require using different length threaded rods to be used with the GE-8433-1  Puller Bar. The illustration depicted only shows one such configuration.

  3. Install the GE-8433-1  Puller Bar and thrust bearing from DT-45124  Removal Bridge with two 16 in M10x1.5 threaded rods, nuts, and washers, as shown.
  4. Loosely tighten the forcing screw on GE-8433-1  Puller Bar.

    Turbine Shaft (1) - Measure

  6. Rotate the transmission so the turbine shaft is facing up.
  7. Install the DT-48056  Spring Compressor Bridge with two 16 in 5/16 - 18 threaded rods, nuts and washers, as shown.
  8. Install the DT-50903  Clutch Travel Load Gauge and secure with the DT-48056  Spring Compressor Bridge forcing screw.
  9. Install the GE-8001  Dial Indicator Set in a suitable location.

    Turbine Shaft (1) - Measure

  11. Ensure the foot of the GE-8001  Dial Indicator Set is flat with the load gauge face.
  12. Apply 50 psi of pressure to DT-50903  Clutch Travel Load Gauge and zero out the GE-8001  Dial Indicator Set.
  13. Using a torque wrench, tighten the forcing screw on GE-8433-1  Puller Bar to 10 N.m (90 lb in).
  14. Observe the GE-8001  Dial Indicator Set measurement. Refer to 1-3-5-6-7 Clutch Thrust Bearing Washer Specifications to determine the correct 1-3-5-6-7 clutch thrust bearing washer.
