Case Extension Assembly Installation

The seal is reusable, inspect the seal and replace if damaged.
Automatic Transmission Case Extension Seal (1) - Install

CAUTION:

Before removing or installing the automatic transmission case extension, place the transmission in a holding fixture with the transmission in a vertical position and the case extension facing up. Failure to do so may result in transmission internal damage.

NOTE:

Ensure the park pawl is not engaged.

Automatic Transmission Case Extension (2) - Install

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Automatic Transmission Case Extension Bolt (3) - Install and tighten in sequence M10 x 40 [6x]
1. First Pass: 20 N.m (15 lb ft)
2. Final Pass: 55 degrees
