Installation Procedure

NOTE:
Fasteners have adhesive patch and must be tightened to final torque within 5 minutes.

Install the automatic flex plate (2) and hand start NEW bolts (1).

To prevent crankshaft rotation, install EN-50792 automatic flex plate holding tool (2) and starter motor bolts (1) at the starter motor location and engaging the flex plate.

CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten the bolts in sequence using the following procedure:

Tighten:
1. First pass in sequence to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
2. Final pass in sequence 40 degrees using the EN-45059 angle meter
Remove EN-50792 automatic flex plate holding tool.
