Component Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Ignition/Vehicle - Off
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector: S2R Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Right
  3. Test for 575 to 700 ohms between the test points: Signal terminal 1 & Signal terminal 3
    • If not between 575 and 700 ohms 

      Replace the component: S2R Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Right

    • Go to next step: If between 575 and 700 ohms 
  4. Operate the component: S2R Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Right
  5. Test for 575 to 700 ohms between the test points: Signal terminal 1 & Ground terminal 2
    • If not between 575 and 700 ohms 

      Replace the component: S2R Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Right

    • Go to next step: If between 575 and 700 ohms 
  6. Operate the component: S2L Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Left
  7. Test for 1200 to 1500 ohms between the test points: Signal terminal 2 & Ground terminal 1
    • If not between 1200 and 1500 ohms 

      Replace the component: S2L Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Left

    • Go to next step: If between 1200 and 1500 ohms 
  8. Test for 6400 to 6700 ohms between the test points: Signal terminal 2 & Ground terminal 1
    • If not between 6400 and 6700 ohms 

      Replace the component: S2L Transmission Manual Shift Switch - Left

    • Go to next step: If between 6400 and 6700 ohms 
  9. All OK.
