Installation Procedure

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Crankshaft Position Sensor Reluctor Ring Caution .

    Install the engine flywheel (1).

  2. Install NEW 8 flywheel bolts (2).

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution .

    NOTE:

    The bolts have adhesive patch and must be tightened to final torque within 5 minutes.

    Tighten the 8 flywheel bolts (1) in sequence as shown to a first pass to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  4. Tighten the 8 flywheel bolts (1) in sequence as shown to a second pass to 30 N.m (22 lb ft)
  5. Tighten the 8 flywheel bolts (1) in sequence as shown to a final pass to 70 degrees, using the EN-45059  meter.
  6. Install the clutch pressure and driven plate. Refer to Clutch Pressure and Driven Plate Replacement .
